Today I went off to the community centre again. Today Jenny was talking to us about mixing colours and shading without using black or white. I painted some fruit and leaves with water colours.
Then I used pastels to do a sky/sea scape.
And then a sort of sunset picture using the very bright poster paints!
We were painting on very thin paper so it warped quite a bit, but really it was just practising.
Tomorrow is the first session on my craft group, it hasn't been advertised really so may not have any takers, but it will give me a chance for planning and preparing if I am there alone.
I prefer the first of the three. Some of those fruits would look good as kitchen curtain material..................... just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll get some students tomorrow, but if not get Tina along to drag a few off the street for you :-)
Quite a good thought there. May not keep going to the class when I get stuck into pottery etc.
DeleteThe pottery should keep you occupied for a while, you have plenty to do.
ReplyDeleteToo true, hoping to start at the end of this week. :-)
DeleteI may pop in anyway Mike!
ReplyDeleteWill try to remember this is you now Tina! Thanks for calling in. x
DeleteLove the bright colours, may be you can decorate your new classroom with them or I'm sure Isobel would love one for her bedroom.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with the class, how about puting a notice on the Gate Outside today telling everyone. Xx
Good idea, I did make one for the window, but the building is set back behind railings, so only people who actually come in would see it! x
DeleteI agree with Mike love the fruits very very good xxx good luck on your craft group xxxx
ReplyDeleteWill be snowed under next time!! xxx
