This morning I was in bed late for me and then had a gloriously lazy morning reading. I am gripped by the author that Patty recommended when I was in America called Liane Moriarty. I finished the second book I have by her today called The Husband's Secret and have bought one today called The Last Anniversary. I had a hospital appointment this afternoon for a procedure for a camera to check out my bladder. The untrasound and the procedure were both normal, so it is back to square one regarding the health issues I have been experiencing.
When I was in America I managed to get some material to use at a quilting course I am going to do, and at the weekend I ordered a 'charm pack' of material to go with it so that I can get started. I am really pleased with how well the materials go together.
I also sent for a scrapbook as I intend to make one up about the Tennessee trip as L have lots of souvenirs. I haven't done one since I went to the paralympics so am quite looking forward to it. I just need to get some large sheets of paper and some more embellishments.
I have a new book to start in a bit which is great, I have been off reading since I moved up here and this author has got me really back into it.

Yesterday was bright so back to lovely evening skies yesterday. It has been dull today so no sunset pics tomorrow!
This morning Tina took me to the hospital early to get my ultrasound, even managed drinking the pint and a half an hour before and not going to the loo! Came back on the bus, while waiting for it I took the photo of this great tree in the grounds.
I did a couple of errands in town and then came home. Had a doctors appointment this afternoon, more antibiotics for the neck which isn't quite back to normal and the rash that has developed on my back is psoriasis! At least I have appropriate ointment for that now. I bought an adult colouring book and some pencils in The Works. I have coloured one picture but think I need to get some better pencils! I have just had dinner with Darren, Tina has a new program of evening meetings now so will often be out.

This morning I went out with Heather and Kevin, we parked on Dean Road and walked through the town and down to the South Bay. We walked right along the bay to see what bargains were there to be had! I took a picture of the sea, haven't seen it much lately!
We came up to the town on the tramway ans then back to the car. We went and did some shopping at Sainsbury's as I hadn't stocked up at all after the trips. I have had a quiet afternoon answering some letters. After I had been out to post them I checked in on my bonsai trees, all looking good and one is even turning autumnal!
I missed the first session of a quilting course on Saturday. I got some of the materials I needed when I was in America, but have ordered a 'charm pack' on line and hope the colours blend in well. I have also decided to make a scrapbook of this trip, haven't done one now since the paralympics, so have ordered a scrap book on line as well. Then today I have gone through the photos and have ordered some prints so am slowly getting things sorted.

We all managed to get a reasonable night and when we were breakfasted Anya, Isobel and I went for a walk through the park and into the Glen. Just at the start of the Glen we thought we had better start the pictures!
We had taken peanuts in the hope of seeing some squirrels, Anya and Isobel did feed some yesterday evening.
Such a pretty walk, and the weather was much better today as well.
And a pretty little girl!
The bench has Isobel's birth year on, so a must for a picture! Then she had a go a being a statue!
We carried on walking and got to the cemetery which is very well kept. There was a bridge that looked like it might be a foot bridge at the other end.
We strolled back and had lunch at the Teasmaid before the girls made their way back to Peterborough. While we were eating that wobbly tooth of Isobel's decided to come out! Getting gappy in that mouth now!
They are home safely now. I tried watching Life of Pi but didn't like it much better than the audio version I tried, so I turned it off!

Isobel and I both slept a bit later today but we did take a walk out to the park which we enjoyed. I actually got to go on the Swan boat with her, something I have wanted to do since I have lived here. Here is Isobel before we set off.
Then one with the swan head, to prove that is where we were!
A nice shot on the way round.
Then of course it was snack time!
Anya arrived at lunch time, and is staying tonight and driving home tomorrow. Isobel was pleased to see her mum.
We were in the park to watch the famous Naval Battle. The convoy of ship approached first.
Took lot's of the battle, will just post a couple.
The ships all have people inside, very impressive.
Darren had joined us and afterwards he and Isobel did a bit of training on some steep steps!
We had fish and chips for tea and Anya and I watched the Strictly launch show which we enjoyed.

Yesterday evening I watched a late program on the giant otters of the Amazon. Had to try and take pics of the tv, they do move quickly though!
The one of the cayman close up was better!
Just one more otter shot!!
This morning we had to check out by ten o clock. We had been going to swim but Isobel decided she didn't want to once we were up. Tina was picking us up in the afternoon so we had the morning going between indoor and outdoor play areas and the arcade (of course!) This was Isobel with Sparky when we were ready to be picked up.
We were indoors for a couple of hours and then I was off to be Tina's 'back-up' at a wedding rehearsal. Isobel enjoyed looking round the church.
With Tina when we were leaving.
And in the car with the church in the background.
We went with Tina to change a blind and then met Darren at Sainsbury's where we had tea. Isobel has had a long shower and is in bed now. I have made up my bed and won't be long myself!

A cold night again and grey drizzly morning, so we didn't go out of the cosy caravan until about 11 am. I had been up early as Darren dropped the shopping trolley off for me on his way to work. We were on those coin machines again, and then went into the pool. No photography allowed in the general swimming sessions but Isobel is so much more confident now. Putting her head right under the water and swimming along happily using a float. She wanted me to go down the slides with her the first time, and be at the bottom the next couple of times, and then she was away, going on them several times herself. After they cleared the pool we waited on the side as I had booked for her to have a session with little boats. It was great, we were allowed to take pictures too. Only three children booked in and the pool to themselves, when they had enough of the boats he allowed then in the water to play.
Isobel did get out for a bit and I tried to catch her improved confidence.
After that more machines, we can collect another prize in the morning! Then a spell in the play park.
Forgot to say we had lunch out as well!
Darren is calling in this evening to collect the case and spare food. Tina will pick us up tomorrow afternoon. Heard today that I have two hospital appointments next week to go along with the two docs appointments I already have!
