Visits and a little packing

I did a couple of chores before going to see Bel. She was fine and looking forward to having her hir permed this afternoon. Back home I gathered up my cookery books to look through later. Had an early lunch with Tina as Jacky was coming round at one to help Tina dismantle the plastic storage cupboards in the garden. I left just after Jacky arrived and called in to see Sher before walking to Jeans. Sher has had norovirus and has been really poorly. I went to Jeans via the sea front, a very grey day today.

Bit out of sync again, forgot to post the pictures of the curious cat!

Had a good chat with Jean, next week another friend is going to join us when we have our catch up.
When I got home the skip was full, Tina and Jacky had done a fantastic amount of clearance.
Yesterday when I met Anne she gave me couple pieces of artwork she had done which she thought I might like to put on the wall. I will probably frame one and have it on display as it was a sweet gesture.

The other nice surprise yesterday was my late Christmas present from my sister. It is a brilliant book and I will put quotes from it on the blog occasionally, starting now!
An election is coming.

  1. You’ll have to find something else to do on a Friday soon. Your whole life routine is going to change! Still I suppose on the bright side it’ll stop you getting in a rut 😊 I bet you have a few cookery books. I assume you’re thinning them out too.
Jacky is being really helpful, and it’s taken a little bit of strain off of you, which is good. Getting the skip full is good. Do you think you’ll need another?
Poor Sher. Sounds like the norovirus knocked her off her feet for a while. Don’t you go catching it, specially now!
I see the cat hasn’t been put off too much after wrecking the drawer unit 🙂 They love exploring. There might be food in there.
That was nice of your friend to give you those drawings. Quite funny really as you’ve been thinning yours out for a while now 🙂
It’s never too late to get a Christmas present. Good quote too.

  2. Yes, it will be strange not have visit Friday, but there will be new things to explore and hopefully new friends to meet.
I cannot believe how many boxes I have got, I really did need to seriously cut down, but not enough by the look of how much I have to take!
Some great quotes in that book.
