Charity shops again and family pottery

The weather has been better today although there was a patch of ice at the top of our drive. I went down for the usual Saturday morning shopping and then got another box packed. I went to the Botany again but Sher is still unwell but I had another nice chat with Hayly. I had a load of stuff on the landing for the charity shop, so I bagged some of it up and took two trips with a couple of bags each time to the shop.

I had a message to say the pottery we painted when the family was here was ready for collection. There was still a lot of stuff for the charity shop so Darren and I loaded the car after lunch and dropped it off before collecting the pottery. We had a chat with Rob there and he gave us another box full of bubble wrap. One of the pictures got cracked in the car so we dropped it off at the tip on our way home.

I just have pics of the Peterborough family’s pottery, will take pics of ours tomorrow if I remember, I have been getting their pottery boxed up, I have been getting plenty of practice at packing! I will sent them off as I don’t want to take them to Scotland

Nothing to add today, I am looking forward to the return of Casualty on tv this evening.

  1. We had better weather here today. It was quite pleasant when I walked into town. Maybe I’ll wake up to six inches of snow in the morning 😊
That charity shop must be overflowing with all your stuff by now. They really are going to miss you all.
It was good to get out for a little trip with Darren. I know it wasn’t far, but it’s always nice. The pottery looks lovely. All three pieces have come out great. I think they’ll be pleased with those. I’ll look forward to seeing the others tomorrow if you get around to taking pics of them. Like you say, you’ve had lots of practice of wrapping pottery lately, so hopefully there’ll make it down here in one piece. Well three pieces really I suppose πŸ™‚
Oh my, Casualty! That’s certain to depress you πŸ˜‚

  2. We certainly have kept a couple of charity shops well stocked.
I agree, the pottery pieces have all turned out really well, I certainly hope they arrive intact.
Need to make the most of trips with Darren, they will soon be few and far between for a while.

  3. Yes, I think her name was Ellie, she was lovely.
The days are all running into each other, I really have to think about what day it is when I get up in the morning, not that I feel like getting up anyway these days,
I hope it is dry tomorrow, I would like to get to the post office and get the parcel sent.

  4. I think you're getting worn out. That's probably why you replied on the wrong post πŸ˜‚
