I was up early and helped Tina a bit in the laundry area and went and got more black bin bags before walking to the front to meet up with Linda for the last time. I called in at the pet place on the way to see if they had any litter trays. They did so I said I would call in on the way back, decided it was time to replace it for the move. I took some photos of old haunts as I went.
Had a nice chat with Linda and we have agreed to keep in touch I did call into buy a new litter tray on the way back, and some cream cakes as I fancied one! Worked with Tina for a bit before and after lunch getting some boxes packed. I also finished packing my last box, although I will still have a bag of last minute bits and pieces. Tina has some bits to take as well and we have a dog crate now so we will have to see how much room we have.
Tina is out and Darren and I had takeaway as usual. We had almost finished when a man came to collect the tv stand. Some more stuff is being collected tomorrow.
More final catch ups tomorrow.

Saying goodbye to people because of the move is very hard. Hopefully you will keep in touch with a lot of them and meet up with some of them at some point. Lots of people go to Scotland for their holidays, so you may well get some passing visitors 😊 So many things you’ve got used to seeing over the years too. The memorial garden is lovely and those puffins are so unusual that I doubt you’ll be bumping into those anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteI think you deserve cream cakes, and probably a lot more after all your efforts to get your stuff ready for the move. It’s nice to be able to relax, even if only a little now it’s done, apart from last minute things to throw in the car. Assuming there’s room that is. As long as there’s room for Pandora, that’s the main thing 🙂
Your last chicken and chips, you’ll definitely miss those ☹️
I can’t believe you only have tomorrow and the weekend to go!
It is difficult saying goodbye, I spotted Jude whole does the fused glass working at the back of the shop, tapped the window and was able to say goodbye, she said she would miss me and hoped I would find classes of some sort in Scotland. I am glad I got to see her as I had really enjoyed my sessions there.
ReplyDeleteJacky is definitely going to collect the toy box so pleased that is going to be used gain. Bel and Jean tomorrow, have been seeing both of them regularly for sometime now, so they will be a bit emotional I guess.
