I mislaid, or binned, something I needed to finish off one of the chasubles, so went off to Boyes to buy some more. I got some green beads as well, but they are not really quite the right colour for the lizard, so I will wait for the ones I ordered from Ebay. I called in to see Donna and got a phone call from Tina while I was there as she hasn't been too well today and wanted me to take her place at Lotus Beauty where she had a massage booked. I have never had a massage of any kind before and it was very relaxing. On the way back home I saw this lovely white hydrangea.
I did some work on the chasubles this afternoon, I am hoping to get them finished this evening. Tina ordered an introductory pack of food and recipes from 'Hello Fresh'  so I helped her cook one of the recipes this evening. It was pleasant enough but not quite as exciting as we had hoped. We may try another tomorrow. After the meal I spent a while in the front garden, trimming a couple of bushes and mowing the lawn, plus a little weeding. The cosmos I bought as a small plant is in full bloom.
Even more lovely, the blue anemone!

This morning I went into town, on a bead or button hunt really as I fancied making a start on the sand lizard. I did get some that I thought would be suitable. I walked up onto the cliff top and had a look at North Bay, haven't been down there for a few days now.
The parks and flower beds are so well tended here, it is lovely to see. The house next door has a really attractive lace cap hydrangea, I used to have one and for years thought there was something wrong with it!
When Darren and I went to the shop yesterday I bought some reduced stickers for putting up hooks. I didn't want to hang hooks but I did want to try and display the animal heads I painted ages ago. Well, they are up, but will I hear them come crashing down in the still of the night?
Darren and I went out for lunch and finished off with an ice cream in the park, very nice. Back indoors I have made a start on the lizard, but have now had to order some more beads!

I will start with a couple of sky pictures from last night.

This morning Darren and I took Tina's car into the garage to have a new tyre and then wandered into town together. I headed home and he stayed in town for a bit longer and collected the car. I went to button group this afternoon, only two ladies today and both were planning for new projects. I stuck torn hand made paper onto a canvas that needed recycling. It looks like sand (vaguely) so I intend to button or bead a sand lizard on it.
A while ago I bought some great little storage cases but the problem is I can never remember what is in each one. I didn't want to stick labels on and spoil them, so I made some little travel tags. I think it works well and I can tell at a glance what is where!

I completed the small jigsaw with the two missing pieces yesterday evening. A real shame about those two pieces as it was fun to do and I would have mounted it and had it up somewhere.
Tina dropped me near town again today and I had a good wander round and remembered everything on my list, probably a first! I took this picture of the South Bay from the top of the cliff lift, they were both moving when I took it so that you can see them.
There is a print shop near The Grand hotel which does individual items like cups and t shirts but also stuff for clubs and organizations. I decided to have a baseball cap printed, the lady was very good helping to choose the image. It was ready in an hour, so I wandered off and had a drink so that I could collect it.
No-one else will have exactly the same design, not that there are many who would want to have it anyway! I like it.

Back to normal today. I did set my alarm for 5 am to make sure Darren didn't sleep through his, as he was off to Bradford today with work. Tina dropped me off in town near the post office, I had a package to collect and my travel money. Then I walked up to Sainsbury's to get some much needed food supplies, got a taxi back with the shopping. I unpacked and had some lunch and then set off for Button group which re-started today. Only Sue there today, although Linda called in to say hello. Sue fetched her small tree picture, now finished, to show me.
She also began a nail art picture.
You may remember the dead flower heads that I drew last year, well, the huge plant is flowering now. I made the bad decision to cut one off, as I thought I could either draw it or do a button/bead picture. The plant was covered in black fly, but I bought a head in regardless! I have never seen so many little black insects, on me and pretty much everywhere else, it went outside again!
Did take a few photos, may still do that drawing, just hope the community centre isn't infested tomorrow!
Darren and I were home pretty late last night so thought I would leave the entry until today. We stayed over night at the Marriott and had a really good breakfast to set us up for the day,
We did make use of the leisure club, Darren going to the gym, and me the pool. Darren met up with a friend after breakfast and then we went off to see my sister. Darren stayed for an hour or so and we were answering questions in a Left Brain/Right Brain book she had been given for her birthday. Darren then went off for his Vintage Computer meeting and Margherita and I had a couple of games of Scrabble. Rachel picked me up from there and we had a pleasant few hours together. I got to see her newly finished kitchen after the long damp walls saga. I had a while to wait for Darren when I got back to the hotel, so tried to catch the webs on the bushes without too much success.

We stopped off for something to eat at the beginning of the journey home so we didn't set off until about 8.15 pm. The journey went well, I did take a sky picture from the car, it was amazing with a sort of mystical haze which had begun to go before I could get a shot.

Darren and I set off fairly early to make our flying visit to Peterborough. We had breakfast at Caynby Corner and then arrived at Anya's about 12.45 pm. Anya, Isobel, Darren and I went and had lunch at the Werrington Centre. Took a couple of pics of Isobel, who is growing up fast.

While Darren and Anya were in one of the shops we even took a selfie!
The centre has had some renovation and there were some great paintings in some of the windows.
I spent the afternoon with Anya and family at the house while Darren went across to the hotel to meet up with an Amiga friend. He came back to join us and Louis joined us all to go out to dinner. We are back at the hotel now, I had a swim and Darren has been to the gym.
