I bought a solar hare ornament and a new bird feeder. Tina splashed out on a new garden swing which will be arriving on Monday.
We sat and had a cuppa in the walled garden, Tina was holding onto this parasol when I took the photo!
I went down the garden to replace the bird feeder, which has given extremely good service but wa ready to fall part!
My leg was painful when I came in so sat and finished my book, then I took a slow walk down the road to see Sarah and David.
Tina did some weeding in the walled garden, she is using the kneeler that I made the large cushion for that was no good for me, but pleased it is good for her. Jayne came and did some weeding so that made me feel guilty not to be gardening myself! Hopefully I will before too long…….
Restful evening now. Bel and Jean are both coming here to visit tomorrow.
Quite a pleasant day all things considered. Definitely nice to get out with the Rev for a while and a bit of shopping therapy is always a good thing 😊 I like the solar hare, and the bird feeder really was on its last legs. It’s seen a lot of use though. The new one looks a bit posher and stronger, so hopefully you’ll get good use from that. A new garden swing sounds good too. You might even get a bit of use from it before winter arrives. I heard a weather forecast today and the presenter said the nights were drawing in and we were heading for winter! Cheerful git! 😊
ReplyDeleteDon’t feel bad about not helping out much in the garden. I think you’ve done plenty over the past few years. You’ll have plenty of time to do more when you’re feeling a bit fitter.
It was nice to get out for a bit, a very nice garden centre and a good breakfast too.
ReplyDeleteI put the hare in the sunshine so hopefully it will soon be glowing in the dark, not that I go into the garden when it is dark, perhaps it is time to start!
The bird feeder is a stronger one, so should last a while.
