I met up with my sister, the elderly ladies and Angie yesterday, Mike met Michelle and I for lunch and was my taxi in the afternoon while Michelle was at work. This morning Mike and I went to Flag Fen before I made my way home. The Just So festival was great, I will post a few pictures now, as I am pretty tired and it is getting late, but will try to choose a few more and tell you some of the fun activities tomorrow. The Yurt was pretty impressive and we had comfortable mattresses to sleep on.

We had a good wander round the first afternoon and we did a paw print quiz around the Spellbound Forest.

We went by the camp fire area, we did go to a couple of entertainment sessions there over the weekend.

I will leave it there for now, I am trying to catch up with Red Rock and feel really tired this evening!

Back in Peterborough after an enjoyable, if rather soggy weekend at the Just So festival. My ankle didn't really play ball, but I did manage to do lots of things with Anya and Isobel and saw a couple of bands. We all made clay faces on trees, one of the activities, so will post pictures of us with our creations, will write more about the rest of the festival with more pics when I get home.

Slept reasonably well and was up early to see Rachel before she set off for London. Skip had to go off on a course and the boys were sleeping in, so I got ready and took a slow walk to Morrisons and had breakfast there and then caught the bus into town. Cut through by the Cathedral, always an impressive building.

In Queensgate there was an unusual display of what looked like lots of hand made poppies, very attractive.

Caught the bus back to outside Morrisons and then walked back down Paston  Lane. passed this lovely rose.

Spotted a honeysuckle, haven't seen one for ages.

Having a lovely restful day and watching Olympics. Ethan has  been making me drinks and made my lunch, so all good. This will be the last post for a few days, the chrome book will be staying at Anya's house while we are away at the festival.

Thought I may as well start with a sky picture. Have been travelling and catching up with people today, so not a lot of camera action, one bug picture in a bit! Darren took me to the station to catch the 8.50 am train to York, then I got the 10.03 to Peterborough. Good journey on both trains, even got my case into the bottom shelf of the luggage rack on the second one, which was very unusual and a real bonus! Had a lady of similar age sitting next to me and we chatted so it made the journey seem shorter. Mike met me at the station and was cooking lunch for us so we went back to his flat. There was a grasshopper on the windscreen which stayed on the car all the way. It moved pretty quickly and once it was on us we had difficulty getting it back onto the car! Did manage one almost clear picture, he/she was very pretty!

We spent a lovely couple of hours with Julie and then Mike brought me to Rachel's, where I have had a very relaxing afternoon/evening with the family and watched some more Olympics and had another very nice meal cooked for me, so big thanks to Mike and Rachel. No specific plans for tomorrow, may go into Peterborough as haven't had a wander there for a while and I have my bus pass!

Nearly missed the sky last night because I had the blind down. It was a lovely crimson red.

I did get the first feed of the Christmas cakes this morning, so now they will begin the journey to hopefully being delicious. Tina dropped me near the post office, I had a package to send off and while I was in town I bought a cat bed for Charlie.

I was struggling a bit today, the knee more than the ankle giving me trouble, but I called in to see Sandy on my way home, so got another sit down! I hadn't seen the curtains I helped her choose up, they look pretty good and the room is much lighter because she had wooden slat blinds before. Caught up with Red Rock when I got home and have been sorting and packing between watching the Olympics. We are still doing well and as I am writing our little 16 year old gymnast,Amy Tinkler, got a bronze in the individual floor discipline.The camera has been resting today while I charged the battery, but I do have a picture of Charlie, not in the bed of course. He is snuggled next to a hippo doorstop that I have had longer that I can remember, think it was a present from Hazel and Brian many years ago, so it has done a fair bit of moving around!! Off to Peterborough tomorrow and to the Just So festival with Anya and Isobel at the weekend, so the blog will be a bit spasmodic for a while.

Managed to make an emergency appointment at the dentist for today, as I don't need raging toothache as well as dodgy knee and ankle while I am camping with Anya and Isobel! Tina dropped me in town on her way to her meeting as I had a list of bits to do. I sat down for a bit near the bank and got to look more closely at the buildings. Banks are often really attractive buildings and the Nat West in Scarborough is no exception.

The Tudor effect building next to it must have been very striking when it was in better repair.

Another sit down a bit further up the street and this little lass was in the big deck chair.

I caught the bus home as both ankle and knee were on the sore side today. Got some washing hung out and watered the bonsai trees. Had a cuppa with Tina before she went out for a last lunch with Martyn and Joyce and a while after that I set off for the dentist. The hollyhock in the front garden is gorgeous.

The dentist was good, took an xray and couldn't detect anything wrong but said she would remove some of the filling and redo it. The old filling fell out so she ended up doing a complete replacement. As I had paid for fillings quite recently she didn't even charge me! Have eaten something since and it seems to be okay. I cut through to the cliff top and sat there for a while, it was a beautiful day. Inspired by some photos Mike took I took this wild flower by the sea, well, up on the cliff actually but you get my drift!

I love cosmos flowers, must grow some again when we move., this picture has the cosmos a bit blurred but it is quite a good effect unintentionally!

This evening has been wrapping presents and getting phone calls made. Charlie curls up on the foot rest with difficulty!

Just one sky picture from last night, very attractive again.

I had a really short night. I managed to stay up and see Mo Farah win the 10,000 metres race, heart in my mouth when he was tripped, fantastic that he picked himself up and still won! I slept in the tv room, not very well, as I didn't put the bed down, but I have the extension for the headphones now so didn't have to struggle on that score. Was awake before 7 am and got myself ready to go to the boot sale with Darren. After our usual breakfast I wandered with him for a while but ankle and knee both less that co-operative today! I sat in the car and did a puzzle and dozed in the heat of the sun. I bought a scrapbook kit for £1 which was a bargain. May do one of the trips with Isobel.

Very busy at the boot sale as usual, that farmer really makes good use of his land as the circus is set up in the next field.

I also got a carton of bits with compasses, calligraphy pens and ink, some beads, spring holders to keeping paper on boards and some batteries which Darren will use. £1 for that little lot as well.

I ordered some Brusho inks after talking to a young lass called Jude, and have tried a first picture using them. I think I used a little too much for the wash this time but will be having another go.

Not long up from getting dinner for us, and made some reasonably successful fairy cakes again, plus Tina brought home some rhubarb, so made a crumble. We watched Max with the floor discipline at the Olympics, the two Brazilian boys who got silver and bronze were overwhelmed, one of them hardly stopped crying until the medal ceremony! It was a great watch. Don't think I will be staying up half the night though, will hopefully see Andy and Max and Lewis in the pummel horse final.
